This summer, as the world turns its attention to sport, Deezer is inviting visitors to discover the city in a different way: through music. That is, through an interactive map exploring 10 of its best and most iconic live music venues!
Available from 26 July onwards, the map highlights the city’s rich musical heritage by delving into the history of these venues. For each location, anecdotes and historical details provide insight into the musical life of the city and a cultural heritage that is still well and alive in Parisian culture today.
And that’s not all: viewers can also immerse themselves in the soundtrack of this history by streaming exclusive Deezer playlists linked to each location. From the jazz of Lionel Hampton to The Beatles’ pop melodies, each track in these playlists has been selected by Deezer’s Music Editors to encapsulate the atmosphere at the heart of Paris’ world-renowned music scene.
Paris in 10 legendary live music venues
Paris is famous across the globe not only for its historical and cultural landmarks, but also for its deep-rooted connection to music. From the grand halls of The Olympia, which has hosted legends like Edith Piaf, to the contemporary Philharmonie de Paris, home to the prestigious Orchestre de Paris, the city pulsates with musical history. Deezer’s interactive map offers visitors a unique guide to the French capital that animates this history with the sounds of its most iconic spots.

The “Discover Paris through music with Deezer” map guides visitors to these 10 locations:
1. The Olympia: Paris’ oldest operating music hall
2. La Cigale: an eclectic venue located in the Pigalle district
3. La Cité de la Musique – Philharmonie de Paris: a modern complex including concert halls, exhibition spaces and a museum
4. Le Caveau de la Huchette: a jazz bar with a rich history
5. Paris Opéra: Paris’ famous opera house, also known as the Palais Garnier
6. La Machine du Moulin Rouge: a nightlife and live music venue located in the famous Moulin Rouge building
7. Paris La Défense Arena: a modern, multi-purpose indoor arena that hosts large-scale concerts and events
8. New Morning: a renowned jazz club in Paris’ 10th arrondissement
9. Rex Club: a go-to club for fans of techno, house and EDM
10. Paris Plages: a temporary beach on the banks of the Seine and Canal Saint-Martin during summer
